Essie Sil Vous Plait is a wonderful foil and the final of the summer 2017 collection shades! A rose pink foil. Now usually, this kind of colour would make me think of the polishes my grandma wore way back and still does. But on the nail, it has some shimmery foilish goodness going on that I just love. A real foil, not the streaky metallic stuff I expected. It is quite unique, for both Essie who don’t have a pile of foils in their lineup, but also in general. I have metallics and foils that lean more rose gold or darker but nothing quite like this.
Essie Sil Vous Plait (pink foil) under artificial lighting
Sil Vous Plait does have a bit of shimmer to it, not like chrome nails but a true foil like finish. The pink is feminine but super wearable and of course, work appropriate while adding a little sparkle to your nails. This is two coats with hardly any noticeable brush strokes, a huge plus for a foil polish. I love how light reflects off this polish and will be wearing it a lot!
Essie Sil Vous Plait Stamped with Born Pretty Grey
I decided to go for a more delicate look on this one since Sil Vous Plait is gorgeous. It didn’t come out quite how I wanted. The two lea images from BP-19 alternated on nails with the pale grey stamping polish take away from a little of the shine in the base colour without detracting from it too much.
