When you get new polishes, you have to see how well they work together. So I threw all six of the Essie Summer 2017 collection polishes together in a drip marble. Sil Vous Plait really steals the show from the cremes with a bit of foil-y shimmer but I think they work well together.
I am loving smoosh manis and drip marbles right now. So easy but looks pretty (as long as you make some extras to replace the ones you don’t love). If you didn’t check out the swatches of each polish I posted over the last week, here are quick teasers so you know which colours to check out.
Sweet Souffle – Essie Summer 2017 Collection
Essie Sweet Souffle is a delicate pearly white with a pink-gold flash. It does need three coats for full opacity but that flash of colour makes this white so pretty.
Baguette Me Not – Essie Summer 2017 Collection
Yes, there is an OPI polish with the same name! A pretty pink-lilac with a gorgeous finish. In the bottle, Essie Baguette Me Not is nothing special but I do like how glowy it looks on the nail.
Fondant Of You – Essie Summer 2017 Collection
A pretty dark coral-peach with a flash of golden orange, Essie Fondant of You makes orange wearable. Who knew that was possible?
Sil Vous Plait – Essie Summer 2017 Collection
Essie does foils? Sil Vous Plait is a gorgeous pink foil with a neutral silver flash that is just gorgeous. Two coats with hardly any brush strokes, even with the tiny Essie brush!
Eclair My Love – Essie Summer 2017 Collection
A bright pinky-red with a touch of coral, Eclair My Love is bright and the most summery of the collection. I personally did not find it to be the one coater many others did but maybe just a bad bottle.
Blue La La – Essie Summer 2017 Collection
Just the right amount of blue for me. Essie Blue La La is a pastel blue that does not suffer from the chalkiness of many pastels. A calm cooling colour for those hot summer days!
