Tealish have released a set of iced teas available in 35g bags through Avon. It can be hard to know what will work for a great iced tea, especially if you don’t drink a lot of hot teas so having both ingredients perfect for iced tea and steeping instructions for iced is great. Tealish Citrus Grove is the second of the teas I am reviewing so be sure to check out Fairy Dust here too.
Tealish Citrus Grove Iced Tea Ingredients & Steeping Instructions
Ingredients: Black tea, orange peel, lemongrass, ginger, apple, coconut, cinnamon, pink peppercorn, flavouring and sunflower blossoms.
Steeping Instructions: Use 3 teaspoons with 6oz boiling water. Steep for 3-5 minutes. Add 1 tsp honey (or other sweetener). Pour over glass of ice and garnish with fruit.
Tealish Citrus Grove Iced Tea Review
Like Fairy Dust, Tealish Citrus Grove does need the added matching fruit to bring out the flavours. Brewed per the instructions, it has a light citrus taste but is mostly black tea tasting. Brewed as I would with other teas (2-3 DAVIDsTEA Perfect Spoons – around 6-7 tsp for 8 oz water) it does have more of a citrus flavour but gets expensive at around $10 for a 35g bag.
It definitely needs the recommended sweetener too. Honey helped bring out the fruit flavour. Save yourself a little cash and add a few slices of lemon and orange to bring out the flavours in the tea.
