I am a fall person, I love the crisp cooler air, the changing colours and the darker clothes and makeup so the fact that we are seeing fall releases of makeup makes me happy. I am over neon polish and brighter lips and ready to start heading into vampy colours and my black wardrobe. One of the first collections available locally is the Quo collection at Shoppers Drug Mart. The packaging on this one is gorgeous and I was quite happy just looking at it and not looking at the colours inside.
The release includes three eyeshadow palettes, in Plum Perfect, Clean Sweep and Neutral Ground. Alongside that are two face palettes in Sweet Illusion and Perfectly Ordinary and a new Quo Raise Your Brows kit. Plus three new lipsticks (Brandy, Red Alert and Mysterious) and a brush set containing six brushes for eyes and face plus a makeup bag.
Quo Fall Collection – Brush Set
The brush set in the fall release from Quo is a beautiful purple-brown metallic handle with a black tip. The set includes a liner brush, a basic eye shadow brush, lip brush, foundation brush, powder brush and blush brush. While I use more than the basics for my makeup (and more than one eye shadow brush) it is a great basic starter set for someone who wants better quality brushes at a decent price. The set is priced at $50 but I often see sales on their brushes.
Quo Fall Collection – Lipsticks
The Quo Fall Collection included three lipsticks and I tried out two of them, Brandy and Red Alert. Brandy is more pink than I would have thought from the name but is beautiful, bright but not a summery pink while being slightly muted too. Red Alert is a pinkish red that I find quite bright for fall but will be great for Christmas parties. There is also a darker more vampy shade named Mysterious in the release.

Quo Fall Collection – Raise Your Brows
While the shades in the Raise Your Brows palette will work for most people, they are a bit pale for my almost black brows but the setting eyebrow cream is great, soft and buttery but holds. I have a similar Quo palette with darker colours and love it so I am sure this will live up to expectations for those with the right colouring.
Check back tomorrow to see my review and swatches of the Clean Sweep eye shadow palette! Quo products are exclusive to Shoppers Drug Mart and should be showing up in stores now.
