When I picked up GLI001, I couldn’t decide if the glitter would be a bit much so picked up a couple of others to try too. At only $4 each they are great deals and it is not like I won’t use them at some point anyway. THEFACSHOP Trendy Nails GLI003 is a silver-gold glitter with larger silver hex glitter.
This originally looked more gold and more like a top coat in the bottle. You can see with one coat over the red it is fairly concentrated but very different looking to the two coats of GLI003 on my ring finger.
In bright light, it appears almost white with the chunkier glitter darker and more obvious than in shade. When it picks up sunlight and appears more golden, the chunkier glitter appears more silver in comparison. While fairly sheer, it coats the nail with no visible nail line in two coats with well concentrated glitter and fairly even spacing on the large glitter.
Here you can really see the gold that caught my attention in the store. The amazing multitone you can see here is rarely visible on the nail, you need to catch it in just the right light and you get a moment of oooh pretty but you do need decent light to pick up all that beautiful colour and sparkle.
Dry time was better on GLI003 compared to The Face Shop’s GLI001, but I probably used more polish when placing the diamonds in GLI001. It is slightly rough so a thick coat of top coat helps smooth it out. I wore it with Essence The Gel top coat and it lasted 4 days which is great for me.
Removal for this is decent for a glitter. It was obviously easier to remove when using a base colour, but didn’t need a lot of scrubbing to remove it when worn alone. I do use Picture Polish Revolution to make removal easier on glitters.
