Another gold and pink toned metallic from the Paint it Pretty Polish Metallic Holiday Collection for 2018. The collection consists of five holiday themed metallic polishes, a blue with silver sparks, a forest green, a holly red, plus the two pink and gold ones. They are available on November 16th and just $10 each.
Nut to my Cracker is more bronze toned while Ginger to my Bread is more copper. Both have a gorgeous pink flash but Nut to my Cracker seems more muted against the darker colours around it.
Paint it Pretty Polish Nut to my Cracker Swatches
I didn’t manage to pick the darker shift up on the nail, but you can see an almost green tone in the bottle that does show in lower lighting. Shown with two coats of Paint it Pretty Polish Nut to my Cracker. Topped with glossy top coat. Wear time is good. I wore a skittles mani using all five of the polishes from the metallic holiday collection for 4 days (usually I get tip-wear in 2).
Random angles but I tried to pick up all of the colour shifts. It can appear very gold or a bronzed pink depending on the angle of your nails. Nut to my Cracker by Paint it Pretty Polish does show some brush strokes but levels easily for full opacity in two coats. A glossy top coat helps hide the brush strokes too.
Paint it Pretty Polish Nut to my Cracker Matte Swatches
Matte top coat dulls some of the colour shift but I really like this matte, especially when stamped.
Nut to my Cracker Stamping Test
The metallic collection by Paint it Pretty Polish is not advertised as a stamping polish but I always like to try ones that seem to have decent opacity. Nut to my Cracker shows ok over black and white but is not super opaque.
