I have the worst hair. Coarse and frizzy. It never wants to be straight and sleek for more than a few hours but won’t hold a curl well either. So I try all kinds of frizz care products trying to get it to behave. The most recent being Giovanni 2Chic Frizz Be Gone. As a natural and vegan range, I will admit I didn’t have high expectations. I find they often don’t leave your hair feeling clean or are hard to rinse.
Giovanni is actually one of the first shampoos I remember using after moving to Canada. I had an obsession with their tea tree shampoo and conditioner for a while. Seriously, use it in the middle of summer and the cool feeling on your scalp is amazing. All of their products are made in the USA and are free of Sodium Sulfate (SLS) and Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES), Phthalates and more. Vegan, natural and not tested on animals, Giovanni has multiple ranges which is nice to see from a green brand.
Giovanni 2Chic Frizz Be Gone Shampoo Review
Most natural shampoos, especially ones with added conditioners like the Shea Butter in Giovanni 2Chic Frizz Be Gone shampoo, never seem to lather well. The ones that do take forever to rinse. Giovanni 2Chic Frizz Be Gone promises 20 benefits. It cleanses your hair while controlling frizz, smoothing strands, moisturizes and hydrates to strengthen your locks ad prevent split ends. It even has humidity control which is great when going between dry heated areas in winter to outside.
Giovannni 2Chic Frizz Be Gone lathers well despite a fairly thick formula. You can feel the shea butter and other moisturizers in the shampoo. Plus it feels a little heavier. Not a bad thing if you have frizzy hair. It weighs it down a little without seemingly greasy or coated. It also has a great scent. The only downside to it is the price. Natural and vegan products are often more expensive, but at $15, not the price point everyone wants to pay for shampoo.
Giovanni 2Chic Frizz Be Gone Conditioner Review
Conditioners tend to be a bit easier for me to buy than conditioners. I get the occasional one that weighs down my hair too much or is not moisturizing enough, but they don’t cause the same damage a bad shampoo does.
Giovanni 2Chic Frizz Be Gone conditioner promises Controls frizz, smoothing strands and sealing in moisture. Refining volume, detangling and stopping flyaways without weighing down hair. It managed to live up to all of them! I mean, my hair is never going to be frizz free. I need to straighten it daily, we will get to that in a minute. But 2Chic did leave my hair more manageable and easier to straighten.

Conair InfinitiPro Straightening Brush
I have had the Conair Infiniti Pro Straightening Brush for a while. I originally only used it to restraighten my hair after sleeping or being out in a rain shower. At the time, I had just had my hair cut and the bounce was a bit too much for it compared to my Conair Infiniti Pro straightening iron. But a few months later with longer hair and I am in love.
I still need it at the highest heat to get straight hair, but you simply brush your hair and it straightens as it brushes. So much less stress on the hair than using a straightening iron which can pull at the hair. Since the Giovanni 2Chic Frizz Be Gone actually leaves me with some volume at the same time as stopping frizz, the brush helps keep some of that volume too.
This Conair Infiniti Pro hot paddle brush has a unique bristle combination with heated ceramic straightening fins, which work to smooth strands from the root to tip and ionic conditioners of the Diamond Radiance technology. This leaves you with smoother hair that isn’t flat or damaged.
