The second of the Essie Summer 2017 polishes I am trying this week is Fondant of You. A darker peachy-coral creme with a hint of orange shimmer. It is described by Essie as a sweet shimmery apricot marmalade. A bit deeper than Tart Deco, this is a great summer shade and the shimmer makes it so much more wearable for orangey shades.
Look at that beautiful golden orange shimmer! Usually, shades that have orange in them make me get lobster hands but it is not too bad with Essie’s Fondant of You. The formula is lovely and it levels easily with two coats for full opacity. Dry time was good and the small Essie brush gave me no issues with the one, unlike Sweet Souffle.
For my mani, I sponged a gradient across two nails using Essie Fondant of You and Eclair My Love. Then stamped with with Mundo de Unas Bone which has a creamy yellowness to the white base using BP-L014 stamping plate.
Such a simple manicure but looks pretty. It is summery and cheerful. I love the orange flash in the base of Fondant of You. Not usually a colour that would call my name but this will get a lot of use.
