Below Deck is my guilty pleasure. The regular one with Kate and Captain Lee and not the summer Med one (although I will watch that if I am bored too). Since I gave up the Real Housewives of New Jersey, I need a little trashy TV in my life and this is what I picked to fill the void. Since Below Deck returned to screens this week, I needed some nautical nails to celebrate it.
An anchor for Captain Lee (and Kate’s love of them as blanket art when she is not making “rocket ships”). Stormy waves for what is likely to be a stormy season with a green crew. Plus the starfish and seashells that make up the table decorations most nights.
A fairly simple look using just BM-XL25 stamping plate. Polishes are a base of Girly Bits Lost in the PATH (Indie Expo Canada show exclusive). Stamped with Maybelline Bold Gold and Born Pretty White stamping polish. I mean, I did this while watching Below Deck so didn’t want too much work!
I watch Below Deck mostly for the Captain Lee-isms and he got off to a strong start explaining his anxiety about the season. (The pucker effect is so strong, you couldn’t drive a straight pin up his a$$ with a sledgehammer). The preview shows anchor problems in the future too.
Whether the weather is stormy or not, Below Deck is a Bravo show so there are likely to be at least stormy tempers on board. It looks like a little crazy with a couple of the crew too. I mean who puts “I like big boats and I cannot lie” on their resume?
The lovely Kate is back this season. Sadly without Chef Ben to fight with. But shells and starfish tablescapes are her jam. When she is not making NSFW blanket art for guests who insult her at least.
The designs are absolutely beautiful. I especially like the “stormy waves”
