St Ives Cleanse & Hydrare Aloe Vera Hydrating Wipes Review Canada

Life has been a little crazy lately.  So sometimes, taking off my makeup when I get home just gets forgotten.  If I am having a shower before bed, sure.  But after a long day when I literally eat and go to bed?  Not so much.  I hate that day old makeup feel so I always keep makeup removing wipes on my bedside table just in case.  They are not always the kindest to your skin though.  If you are lazy enough to use a wipe in the dark, probably not adding serum and moisturizer too.  So I tried out these new St Ives Cleanse & Hydrate wipes!

The St Ives Cleanse & Hydrate Aloe Vera Hydrating Wipes contain 100% naturally sourced aloe vera and promise to even remove waterproof mascara without leaving your skin dried out.  So do they work?  The alcohol free wipes have a pretty heft promise.  Makeup remover, cleanse skin and leave skin hydrated all for under $10 for 25 wipes.  They do remove makeup but I did have to scrub a little at my waterproof mascara.  Not enough to make my eyes red, but more than I would with my regular makeup remover on a pad.  That being said, many wipes don’t touch waterproof mascara so they did well.

The wipes have a dotted raised pattern to help remove makeup without scrubbing too hard and left my skin feeling refreshed.  I often find that wipes have a weird sticky residue if they promise to hydrate as well as cleanse but the St Ives wipes did not.  They are gentle around the eye and left my skin feeling clean and not tight.

St Ives Cleanse & Hydrate Aloe vera Hydrating Wipes are available in drug stores now.  While they have a regular price of $9.49, I have seen them on sale for $6.99 for a pack of 25 wipes.
