Another Makers Dozen offering from Alter Ego. This month, they are doing wine label and Cynthia was given the colour purple. Alter Ego Moe & Dave is based on the wine label from Mogen David. As always, there will be 40 bottles available while supplies last. Full size bottles are $10 US and minis are not available for Makers Dozen shades.
Swatches of Alter Ego Moe & Dave (Makers Dozen November 2019)
Alter Ego Moe & Dave is a slightly burgundy/eggplant-ish shade of purple with gold holo microglitter. It removes without scrubbing but does have a little texture before top coat. Two coats was enough to cover even my usually strong visible nail line on my ring finger. Regular top coat was enough to leave it smooth. Despite the slight texture, it is not top coat hungry.
See that pretty holo? As much as I love purples, I don’t have another one like this. The purple is eggplantish bordering on burgundy in certain lighting. The gold holographic glitter is a nice touch and it has some kind of slight shimmer to the purple base.
My ring finger (bottom of this photo) has a very strong nail line. The first coat of this seemed more sheer and I thought I would need a third coat as I often do. But the second coat covered well with an even colour and good dispersing of the gold holographic glitter. The holo shows well even in normal lighting conditions too.
