DAVIDsTEA has some amazing teas, but with many at $10 or more per 50g bag, it adds up quickly. Looking for some tips on how to save money while shopping at DAVIDsTEA? You are probably familiar with their Frequent Steeper program but how else can you save?

Save Money at DAVIDsTEA with Rebates

Many people don’t know that DAVIDsTEA is now on ebates. It is 2% cashback which isn’t a lot, but over the year it adds up. Plus, they sometimes have 4% back too. This only helps if you shop online but every penny counts right? Even if we don’t have pennies anymore!

It is also available on other rebate sites you may use. Swagbucks also offers 2% back but you can earn additional points using their search engine or doing surveys or special offers to get more cash back.

Be sure you are signed up for their emails too. They have coupons regularly. Some will save you money while others will get you a free gift with purchase. Most do not stack and US and Canadian coupons are different so be sure to choose the right country when signing up.

If you shop online, DAVIDsTEA is also on Amazon.ca now too. Only select items but sometimes they are on sale for less than the DAVIDsTEA website. Plus with Prime, you won’t have to spend as much to get free shipping. I always check both to find the lowest price before checking out.

Save Money at DAVIDsTEA Stores

Prefer to shop in store? One of my biggest ways of saving is buying discounted gift cards. Canadian Tire has regular sales on select gift cards and DAVIDsTEA has featured heavily in those sales. You save 10-20% on your gift card which automatically discounts anything you buy with it. Check the fine print, sometimes the discount is only available on a select denomination. I pick up a $50 gift card whenever they are on sale.

The great thing about discounted gift cards is you use them like cash, so they stack with promotions and coupon codes to bring the price down further.

Have old tins at home? Clean them out and bring them with you. If you refill your tin with 100g or more of the same tea, you save 50c on that purchase.  If you have a large tin, you save $2 when you fill it with 150g or more. Getting a tea to go? Bring your refillable mug and get 10% off your to-go drink as well.
