Last but not least, we have Candy to my Cane from the Paint it Pretty Polish Metallic Holiday Collection 2018. A forest green metallic that is opaque in two coats, this is that classic Christmas tree green. A touch shimmery but no underlying sparkly colours. This matches up so well with Holly to my Jolly, the red from the same collection.
Swatches of Paint it Pretty Polish Candy to my Cane
Like most metallic polishes, you do get some visible brush strokes with Paint it Pretty Candy to my Cane. It levels easily and glossy top coat helps cover them up. But they are also less visible to the naked eye than my photos would suggest.
Shown with two coats of Paint it Pretty Polish Candy to my Cane Topped with glossy top coat. Wear time is good. I wore a skittles mani using all five of the polishes from the metallic holiday collection for 4 days (usually I get tip-wear in 2).
Matte Swatches of Paint it Pretty Polish Candy to my Cane
Similar to the red, I love this one matte and stamped. I used Born Pretty white stamping polish, MoYou Festive 03 stamping plate and My Indie Polish My Perfect Matte for these. The name of the polish just screamed for candy cane stamping!
Candy to my Cane Stamping Test
The metallic collection by Paint it Pretty Polish is not advertised as a stamping polish but I always like to try ones that seem to have decent opacity. Candy to my Cane is kind of shimmery so doesn’t make the best stamping polish but works ok for filling in reverse stamping images.
