I will admit to being a little lazy sometimes when taking off my makeup or cleansing at night. In the morning, no issues as I am showering etc anyway. But after a hard day, sometimes you just want to fall into bed. So I always have a pack of cleansing wipes in my bedside table because as lazy as I am, sleeping with my makeup on is a recipe for a breakout.
I recently tried out Acure Seriously Soothing Micellar Water Cleansing Towelettes (say that 10 times fast). Vegan, cruelty free and no nasty ingredients, Acure’s cleansing wipes are made with micellar water, rose and cucumber to cleanse even sensitive skin. And no rinsing necessary so I can slap on some night cream and fall asleep!
Acure Seriously Soothing Micellar Water Cleansing Towelettes/Wipes Review
Acure’s Seriously Soothing Micellar Water Cleansing Towelettes are a decent size. Not super thick but not paper thin either. They have a nice amount of liquid so they do not dry out in the package (which has a nice closeable door rather than just sticky tab, because they lose their stick!). They are not soaking wet but stay moist through rubbing across the face.
There is a noticeable rose scent when using them but it doesn’t last. They do not dry my skin out, which is great. But don’t seem to do as good a job on my oily t-zone as on dry areas. So if you have really oily skin, you may want to use something else. If you have sensitive skin, however, these are gentle and remove makeup easily with no scrubbing. I experienced no sensitivity from the fragrance and they didn’t sting the small cut on my face.
While they could have removed some more extra oil, they left my skin feeling refreshed. I had no breakouts from using them and one cleansing wipe is enough to remove a full face of makeup. They would probably be great for freshening up on a hot day too.
Overall, I found Acure’s Seriously Soothing Micellar Wipes decent. At around $7-8 for a pack of 30, they are reasonably priced for a green and cruelty free brand. There are certainly others out there that perform as well but if you are looking for something more natural, Acure’s wipes are worth trying.
