I feel so clean with all of the soaps and skincare products I have tried lately but I have another one for you. Small Batch Soaps is a vegan, cruelty free, paraben & phthalate free soap company based in Burlington, Ontario. Lisa started making her own soaps and skincare to relax while at university and has grown it into a business with some of the most adorable looking soaps I have seen locally. I mean, she has unicorn soaps so you know I am hooked on them!
I tried three of her soaps along with her lip balm ahead of Craftadian this weekend where she will be selling them.
Rainbow Splatter Soap from Small Batch Soaps
Starting with Lisa’s favourite soap (which happens to be my favourite out of the three I tried). Small Batch Soaps’ Rainbow Splatter soap smells like fruity sherbet. You know those amazing soaps you got to use as a kid that smelled great but are not so good for your skin, that scent but with natural ingredients. It has a cute rainbow design through the bar with a splattering of colour on the top.
Made with moisturizing Olive Oil, Rice Bran Oil, Shea Butter, cleansing Coconut Oil, soothing Colloidal Oatmeal plus Avocado Oil which is rich in vitamins A, B, D & E and purifying Kaolin Clay. This fruity bar is one of her best sellers and if she doesn’t have unicorn soaps at Craftadian, my top recommendation!
Oatmeal, Milk & Honey Soap from Small Batch Soaps
If the fruity scent of Rainbow Splatter is not your thing, they have a more natural and less scented soap for you. Oatmeal, Milk & Honey soap is a gentle. With Coconut Milk to moisturize your skin and oatmeal to sooth this is suitable if you want to act like an adult (boring). But it has an adorable honeycomb design plus some glittery gold mixed in the oatmeal on the top. Want to see how it is made?
Triple Shot Coffee Soap from Small Batch Soaps
He stole this one so I only got to try it once. Small Batch Soaps Triple Shot has coffee grinds through the bar and two coffee beans showing through (I assume they are only on the top, we haven’t used enough of it to see if there are more). The caffeine addict loves the coffee scented soap as well as the exfoliating coffee to get rid of the grime of working in construction.
Some of the soaps I am hoping to pick up at Craftadian this Saturday – Blueberry Jam, Rainbow Cupcake and of course, Unicorn Soap! Many of the soaps are sold out on her website at the moment while she restocks for Craftadian but will hopefully show available again soon.
Vanilla Bean & Mint Lip Balm from Small Batch Soaps
Small Batch Soaps has a few non-soap items. A lip balm that I also tried and organic sugar scrubs. Their Vanilla Bean & Mint lip balm is made with organic peppermint oil and infused with real vanilla bean pods, so you will see flecks of real vanilla in this delicious balm. At only $5 for a decent sized tin, it is really affordable for a handmade organic product too.
You can shop all of Small Batch Soaps’ products here or catch up with their news and new offerings on facebook ~ twitter ~ instagram. Save the shipping if you are local and visit the Hamilton Craftadian on Saturday 8th April to see Small Batch Soaps and the other makers I have featured recently.
