Under The Vampire’s Spell by Alter Ego is part of the Magenta to Blush: All the Pretty Pinks box for October. Pink for a Halloween box is a strange choice, but pink lovers love holidays too. It is a slightly dusty medium pink with holo. It doesn’t have a strong holo flame but somehow is very sparkly at the same time. I was a little worried about this one in the bottle, I am not a huge pink polish fan and the dustier shade leans grandma polish for me but the holo really helps and it is pretty on the nail.
Shown here with three thin coats, you can see a little visible nail line under my lights but it was not visible in regular lighting. The formula is nice and self levelled well with no dragging. No scrubbing on removal either. You can see the holo shimmer comes out better on the nail than in the bottle taking away from that dusty look to the pink.
Alter Ego Under the Vampire’s Spell is available exclusively as part of the All The Pretty Pinks Box. It is not available individually even through the box. For $32 USD, you get this polish plus a Vanilla Pineapple Margarita scented cuticle scrub from Dark Moon Esscentuals and Autumn Rose, a rose gold with pink flakies from My Stunning Nails.
The Magenta to Blush: All the Pretty Pinks box is available now through September 5th. It includes shipping and is available as a pre-order. Boxes will ship around October 24th so not much time to wear for Halloween. Shop the box here.
