Fall just screams for browns and other warm rich tones. Alter Ego is releasing a new collection this month. The Proud To Be Me collection will debut at Indie Expo Canada on August 17th and be available online starting August 20th. The collection focuses on some lesser used “prugly” colours and makes them unique with extra shimmers or flakies. Being Myself is a camel colour with some colour shifting shimmer that has appeared almost every colour while wearing it. Typically a silver or cool mint shimmer but you turn your hand sideways and it is dark brown. On to the swatches so you can see for yourself.

A very light dependent colour, it can appear almost mustard brown to camel in various lighting. Swatches are shown with two coats of Alter Ego Being Myself with top coat. The shimmer adds no real texture to the polish and it is smooth with top coat.

Both in the sun, no shade by the time I got to this colour in my mega swatching day. See the blue shimmer on the middle of the nail and darker brown on the curve? So pretty.
What’s The Difference Between Being Myself & Happy I’m Not Like The Others?
Being myself has a darker camel brown base with a silver-blue-brown shimmer. Happy I’m Not Like The Others from Alter Ego’s Proud To Be Me collection is more yellow with a green glitter and a more sheer formula.
