I was already a huge fan of Revlon Super Lustrous lipsticks. They are one of the few drugstore brands that last on my lips. So when I heard that they were adding a Matte Is Everything finish to the Superl Lstrous line, I was excited to try them.
Featuring 12 new shades, the Revlon Super Lustrous Matte is Everything line showcases bold hues that are packed with pigment and designed to make an impact. They are smooth and rich in colour and leave lips feeling moisturized while providing a soft, matte appearance that wears for hours.
Priced at $10.49, the Revlon Superlustrous Matte line is on the higher end of mid-pricing for drug store bullet lipsticks, but well worth the money for me. Plus, they are often on sale or have bonus points offers. Currently, you can get them for $9.99 at Shoppers and earn $5 in points for every two purchased.
Revlon Super Lustrous Matte is Everything Lipstick Swatches
They are not completely matte on the lips like a liquid lipstick, they have more of a satin matte finish with a little shine. But it does make them a lot more comfortable to wear and less drying. My lips get really dry in general so the Revlon Super Lustrous Matte is Everything line is a happy medium for me.
I tried out four shades from the matte Revlon lipstick line
- Dare to be Nude – I thought this would be a good my lips but better shade but it is lighter and peachier in tone than I thought. Still a great nude, lasts on my lips and comfortable formula.
- Audacious Mauve – my favourite of the four and a great everyday shade. The formula on this lasts a little longer on me than the other three and just the right tone for my usually pale lips.
- Show Stopper – looks more red in the bullet but is actually pink. It does go on a little patchier than the more neutral shades but builds well for full coverage.
- Superstar Brown – a medium brown that is great for fall. Not too dark but gives you a pop of colour too.
On my list to try in the Revlon Super Lustrous Matte is Everything line are Rise Up Rose and Purple Aura.
