Planning on attending Indie Expo Canada this Sunday? If you don’t have a ticket yet, there are still some available. Check out all the event info and ticket page here. The Jays are playing if you need something to keep your other half amused while you spend all your money on nail polish! We are all looking for something different, but here are my recommendations for each table!
Alter Ego usually does not ship to Canada. Unless you get one in a collab box, you may not get to try it so a great time to check the brand out. Plus, I am helping on the table so stop by and say hello! Cynthia will have a IEC Exclusive polish that is a gorgeous dusty sparkly pale purple named Precious Heart you should check out! Check my home page for swatches of some of my faves too!
Beyond the Nail is close to my heart as one of the owners, Maddy, is a fellow Canadian Beauty Bloggers member. They have a gorgeous teal microglitter with gold, purple and aqua glitter named Tee Dot for just $10 exclusive to the event. If you are into vinyls, they will have guides 3 for $20 and decals 5 for $20. Budget Buy: Beyond The Nail will have lots of clearance for just $5 per bottle at Indie Expo Canada! (See the Beyond The Nail shopping guide here)
Bliss Polish is selling one of the Indie Expo Canada exclusives that I need to have in my life. A nude holo that is not overly warm or cool named Blew My Budget. So well named! It is limited to 55 bottles so you may want to upgrade for early access for this one. (swatched by @cdbnails143). See the Bliss shopping guide here plus they made an album of swatches of every polish they are bringing to help you shop.
Canvas Lacquer do not repeat batches, they make a set amount of each polish then it is retired. They are debuting several new shades at Indie Expo Canada and while they do have some Toronto themed polishes, I am excited for Moon Rock from the Get Spaced collection. No shopping guide for CANVAS so far, they are just bringing EVERYTHING to the Expo! Update: the CANVAS shopping guide is now available here.
Colors by Llarowe has one of my favourite limited edition shades. Usually, a politics themed polish would turn me off. Partly because I couldn’t wear it to work due to their focus on non-partisanship. But Can We Have Trudeau will just have to be a weekend polish! It is stunning. (Swatched by Delishious Nails). Also on my list to check out is The Deep End, a vivid turquoise based multi chrome that shifts from turquoise to green to blue to purple to pink with added holo sparkle and several older shades at just $6 *Budget Buy*. (See the Colors by Llarowe shopping guide/order form here)
Clionadh is one of the non-polish brands attending. Their new Paleo eyeshadow palette is out of stock on their website but they will have them for $65 at Indie Expo Canada so be sure to check it out. If you fall in love with their cruelty free line, you can get their mega bundle for $170 including the Paleo Palette and 5 other sets. If you are not familiar with Clionadh their shopping guide includes pictures of the shades to help you pre-shop. See the shopping guide here.
Cuter Cuticles: You likely know that I love Cuter Cuticles for their great cuticle oils and amazing scents. I recommend picking up a few oils but Sam will also have her acetone additive at Indie Expo Canada. It is a bit bigger for shipping so worth buying at the event unless you are spending enough for free shipping. See the full list of the items Cuter Cuticles will have at the Expo here.
Ever After do have some great event exclusives but my nails seem to be stuck in winter as I am hoping they will have the Villains Shimmer collection that launched in April. (Swatches by @de.lish.ious.nails)
Fair Maiden has a purple holo, because you know, I need more purple polishes! Northern Exposure is an event exclusive and will not be sold later so is one to check out. I have not seen their shopping guide yet, but fingers crossed they have some of their Rainbow Brights Minis. I don’t use bright-brights a lot so minis are perfect and at $29US for all 8, a great deal. The Fair Maiden shopping guide is now available, check it out here.
Fiendish Fancies will have two limited edition polishes inspired by Ginger Snaps which are gorgeous but I am most excited for their 2nd anniversary polish I Want My Cake. A thermal that shifts lime green to dusty lavender purple. Budget Alert: Lara is also clearing out some old stock at sale prices. Older shades start at just $7. Check out their full shopping guide with prices here.
Girly Bits organized the event so should be on your list to check out. Not much says Toronto more than The Red Rocket, a gorgeous classy red perfect for summer wedding season and more. If you are lucky enough to be VIP, their amazing contribution is V.I.Polish, a denim blue with tiny blue and silver flakes and a soft scatter holo shimmer. (Swatch by Manicure Manifesto). Be sure to check out their new SFX and ultra holo nail powders too! The tentative Girly Bits shopping guide is here. Even better, they are showing swatches on their website, see it here.
Great Lakes Lacquer has one of the most wanted Indie Expo Canada exclusive shades. People are begging for mules for their Indie-scent Exposure so you know you need to check it out! Great Lakes Lacquer Indie-Scent Exposure is a dark blurple (cold) to taupe (warm) thermal filled with a purple to orange shifting sheen and scattered holo.
Hit the Bottle: I will admit to actually squealing when I heard that not only will Hit The Bottle be at Indie Expo Canada, but also available in Canada soon. Good stamping polishes are hard to find They do have an event limited edition but I am hoping to pick up some of their holo stamping polishes. I imagine that most of my budget will go to Hit The Bottle! There is a Hit The Bottle shopping guide on the Beautometry page here, they will be bringing some plates and other goodies too.
Lovacado is a new to me brand. Everything is made with extra virgin avocado oil. I will be checking out their Eco-Foot spray for cooling down my feet after a long day.
Moo Moo’s Signatures ships from Singapore so a great time to buy and save on shipping costs. She has a beautiful blue holo exclusive named Mission Impossible In Toronto. But Moo Moo’s Frozen Lavender is on my list to check out, the perfect summer colour for me. Want to check out the list of guaranteed shades at the Expo? See the Moo Moo’s Signatures list here.
Native War Paints has several limited edition and event exclusives but check out Scaling The CN Tower, a multichrome that shifts yellow-green to purple. Spend $13 and spin the wheel for a chance to win or buy their Nifty Shifty multichrome collection before it launches! Budget Buy: they have several older shades starting at $7 and prototypes and discontinued shades from $5. (See Native War Paint’s shopping guide/price list here)
Pahlish has this gorgeous blurple polish as an Indie Expo Canada exclusive. Graffiti Alley is definitely worth checking out but on my list is their Girly Bits exclusive shade Crying Wolf. It is a rich brown linear holographic with magenta red and gold shimmer. (Graffiti Alley swatched by Delishious Nails). Want more Pahlish? See their full shopping guide here.
Soga Artisan Soaperie is another of the non polish indies at the Expo. I am most excited to try their Black Raspberry Vanilla Sugar Shower Smoothie but lets face it, I will likely be buying more bath bombs! Or bath snowballs as they are known in the SOGA Soaperie.
Superficially Colorful has my backup if Frozen Lavender is not available at Moo Moo’s Signatures with Stealing Your Thunder. But I will definitely be stopping by for some mani fizz! Tainted Love is also on my list to check out. (Check out Superficially Colorful’s shopping guide/order form here)
Tonic also has a dark shade as a limited edition polish at Indie Expo Canada. Taking On Toronto is definitely on my list! Even though it is sold out on their website, I have my fingers crossed for a bottle of Dragon Tears too. Tonic shared their shopping list in the Tonic group, but you can see a screenshot of available shades here. Yay for Dragon Tears being on the list!
Wunderbar: last but not least, the final of the non-polish brands. Wunderbar doesn’t have a shopping guide yet and their website is down so my purchases will be a surprise!
