The third polish I am reviewing from Joy & Polish Co.’s spring/summer collection is Orange You Glad. A bright orange with a metallic/pearlescent finish that will leave you craving summer.
The collection also includes Pink About It, Oh Kale Yeah!, Get In Lime, and Just Blue-tiful. They all have the same beautiful glowy finish and are available on Etsy or find Stephanie at local Makers Markets. Joy & Polish is Waterloo based so you can usually find her at events west of Toronto.
Look at that gorgeous golden glow in the metallic finish of Orange You Glad. The polish has a fairly thick formula and like many metallics, can show brush strokes. Use two coats allowing the first to dry to limit bare patches or visible brush strokes. If using a quick dry top coat like Seche Vite, make sure to fully wrap the tips as it can pull the polish.
Orange You Glad probably shows best out of the collection when stamped over black. All of them show, but the bright colour of the orange and metallic finish really shows.
Joy & Polish Orange You Glad Swatches
I originally thought that this would be too bright for my skintone but the golden glow in the pearlescent finish makes it really wearable for an orange polish.
Look at that beautiful glow. Once we have a little more sunlight, it is gorgeous in bright natural light. Unfortunately, we didn’t get much when I was trying these polishes out.
Shown here with two coats, stamped with MoYou London Black using Harunouta L-025 Japanese Floral stamping plate from Born Pretty Store. Buy Joy & Polish Co Orange You Glad here or check her out at Hamilton’s Craftadian show on April 8th.
