Joy & Polish Oh Kale Yeah! Swatch & Review

Joy and Polish Oh Kale Yeah - Bottle Shot 2

Joy and Polish Oh Kale Yeah - Bottle Shot 2

The only non bright shade in the Joy & Polish Co spring/summer collection is Oh Kale Yeah!  A dark leafy green with a pearlescent metallic finish.

Joy Polish Spring Summer 2017 collection

The collection also includes Pink About It, Get In Lime, Orange You Glad and Just Blue-tiful.  They all have the same beautiful glowy finish and are available on Etsy or find Stephanie at local Makers Markets.  Joy & Polish is Waterloo based so you can usually find her at events west of Toronto.

The brighter metallic finish stops this leafy green from being too vampy for the warmer weather.  As a metallic polish, it does have a thicker formula.  Use two coats with a decent amount of dry time in between layers to limit brush strokes or bare patches from the brush pulling the first coat.

Joy and Polish Oh Kale Yeah - Stamped

The darkest of the collection, Oh Kale Yeah! does show when stamped but not to the same extent as the others.  Over black, the green does show but is more visible in bright light.  Over white, it shows more grey than green.

Joy and Polish Oh Kale Yeah - Swatch

Not quite as dark as in the bottle, Joy & Polish Co Oh Kale Yeah! has a beautiful glow to the green.  Being darker, it suffers the most from visible brush strokes out of the full collection, give that first coat a few minutes to dry before adding a second.  Shown here with two coats and Seche Vite top coat.

Joy and Polish Oh Kale Yeah - Macro Swatch

So glowy! Oh Kale Yeah! has a gorgeous finish with multiple colours hiding in there to give it that pearlescent metallic finish.  The colours show even better in natural bright sunlight – hopefully we will have some by the time you get your claws onto these!

Joy and Polish Oh Kale Yeah - Stamped Swatch

This one is just screaming to be used for St Patrick’s Day so I tried it out with gold stamping to see how it would look.  Shown here with two coats of Oh Kale Yeah!  Samped with Mundo de Unas using Harunouta L-025 Japanese Floral stamping plate from Born Pretty Store.  Buy Joy & Polish Co Orange Oh Kale Yeah! or check her out at Hamilton’s Craftadian show on April 8th.
