Despite the recent warmer weather, we know that winter is not over. So a touch of summer always helps and I got that with Weleda. I recently tried out one of their natural pefumes, Weleda Jardin de Vie Argume and Calendula Intensive Skin Recovery – because no one wants dry winter skin!
Weleda, named after the Celtic goddess of wisdom and healing, is one of Europe’s leading natural skincare brands. So they are ahead of the game in Canada with almost 100 years of history in natural skincare. All Weleda products are free from synthetic preservatives, fragrances, colours and raw materials derived from mineral oils, as well as GMO products!
Weleda Jardin de Vie Agrume
Jardin de Vie Argume is seriously like summer in a bottle. Citrusy with Sea Buckthorn Berry it is lively and instantly perks you up.
Ingredients: Alcohol, Fragrance (Parfum), Limonene, Linalool, Citronellol, Benzyl Alcohol, Benzyl Benzoate, (Benzyl Salicylate), Geraniol, Citral, Eugenol, Farnesol.
You know that beautiful orangey smell you get when you first peel an orange. The top notes are just like that. Then it settles to a milder and more complex citrusy scent. A great scent to help you wake up on a cold and dreary day and put a little summer back into your life!
Even better, the distinctive scent of orange is used in aromatherapy to lower blood pressure, reduce anxiety so it really can help perk up your mood! if orange isn’t your thing, they also have Rose, Pomegranate and Primrose based scents in the Jardin de Vie line.
Weleda Calendula Intensive Skin Recovery
I will admit to being a little lazier in winter. Who needs to shave their legs regularly when they are covered in layers? The same goes for dry skin. Since we are wearing layers almost all the time, that dry patch may not get as much moisturizing as in the summer. That is where Weleda Calendula Intensive Skin Recovery comes in. It moisturizes even sensitive skin and can help target general redness and mild irritations.
Ingredients: Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Oil, Water (Aqua), Lanolin, Calendula Officinalis (Calendula) Extract, Beeswax (Cera Flava), Lanolin Alcohol.
If you didn’t know, Calendula is marigold and has natural anti-inflammatory properties to promote healing. Weleda’s Intensive Skin Recovery is 20% pure Calendula extract so it really helps. In just days of using it, the dry patches on my elbows were gone.
Where to Buy Weleda In Canada?
Weleda has a store locator here. It does ask for a Zip Code but accepts Canadian Postal Codes. The biggest selection of Weleda products in Canada is likely Well.ca who currently have over 100 products listed including both of the products I reviewed today.
Good to know it’s available on well.ca – I’ve been curious about Weleda products. Seems very pampering for the skin with honest ingredients.
Weleda products are very mild on the skin. My skin actually reacts positively to it so I’m using it more often.
