Last year, I couldn’t be bothered to do my nails blue for the game against KC – something he has not forgiven me for, so I promised him not just blue, but Blue Jays inspired nails for the ALCS. It is a good thing they swept the last series because as much as I love blue polishes, I wanted a change – and to get some manis done for posts!
A fairly simple look for tonight’s game (and will likely wear them for the weekend). A base of CND Vinylux in Date Night on all but one finger. On the accent finger, I did a base of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in White On and then sponged on a mix of Date Night and White On for a light cloudy look leaving the centre mostly white.
To keep things simple, but very Blue Jays inspired, I printed out the logo on decal paper. You can pick up decal paper from hobby shops, it is usually with the model plane/train accessories. Once dry, topped with some clear nail polish (don’t use top coat, it is thicker and more noticeable on the nail) and left it to dry for an hour. Then cut the decal out, dipped in water to remove the backing and placed it on the nail with some base coat to hold it. Added some Pro-FX Supreme Gel top coat which is a thick top coat and covers the edges of the decal well and here is my finished Blue Jays mani.
Now it won’t be my fault if they lose, because grown men hitting baseballs are soooo cursed by my nails!
I love this nail colour and how you did an accent nail 🙂
