I love a good dark green in fall but the Avon Colour Trend Report for fall shows that all greens are in and they have options for every skintone and look from brighter yellowed greens like Citronized, ultra wearable blue-greens like Turquoise Pop and your typical darker jeweled greens like Noir Emerald. I already had Gel Finish Envy in my collection which looked a lot like Noir Emerald from the Nailwear Pro+ line.
Avon Gel Finish Citronized from Fall Colour Trends: Green
Avon Gel Finish in Citronized $9
Avon Gel Finish in Citronized – Natural Light (Shade)
Avon Gel Finish in Citronized – Direct Sunlight
Avon’s Citronized reminds me a lot of Essence’s Don’t Be Shy but with a little more green. Probably not the most wearable colour for some people and not one I would reach for if I saw the bottle on the shelf but like Don’t Be Shy, I really like it on. It gives a pop of colour and looks more yellow or more green dependent on colours around it and lighting. The formula is a bit thinner than some of the other Gel Finish shades so watch for pooling at the cuticles. These types of colours tend to stain but it was fine on the nail with a decent base coat. Opacity was great and it was opaque in two thin coats with a great dry time.
Avon Speed Dry 30 in Turquoise Pop from Fall Colour Trends: Green
Avon Speed Dry 30 in Turquoise Pop $8
Avon Speed Dry 30 in Turquoise Pop – Partial Shade/Indirect Sunlight
Avon Speed Dry 30 in Turquoise Pop – Artificial Lighting
Who doesn’t love a good turquoise or a polish that dries (touch dry) in under a minute? These are not 100% dry in 30 seconds so don’t bash your nails around but they do dry quicker than most polishes. Avon’s Speed Dry Turquoise Pop is a beautiful blue green creme polish that is slightly muted. So, not an in your face turquoise making it more wearable than some. The formula on this is amazing, you could probably get away with one coat but is shown here with two thin coats and no top coat.
As mentioned, I already had Gel Finish Envy in my collection when I received the fall colour report with these three beautiful green polishes. I thought I would compare Nailwear Pro+ Noir emerald to Envy for those who already own it as they are very similar.
Avon Nailwear Pro+ Noir Emerald $8
Avon Gel Finish in Envy $9
Avon Gel Finish Envy vs Nailwear Pro+ Noir Emerald – Indirect Sunlight
Avon Gel Finish Envy vs Nailwear Pro+ Noir Emerald – Direct Sunlight
Noir Emerald has a touch more shimmer and blue than Gel Finish Envy and while you can see a slight difference while wearing both, it is barely noticeable if you were to change your entire mani between the two. You can especially see the additional shimmer in it in bright sunlight. Both have an excellent formula but Noir Emerald goes on a little more black on the first coat and needs the second to build the colour. The shimmer in Envy is greener while Noir Emerald has some reflective colours that make it a little more special. Dry time was excellent on both of these but do wear a base coat!
Which of these shades is your favourite? You can get these beautiful green nail polishes from Avon online or by contacting your local independent Avon representative. Prices shown are regular prices but vary by campaign.
These all look like great colors! Turquoise Pop is my favorite of the bunch!
I ready like them all! I haven’t used an Avon polish in years! Looks like they stepped up their game since I’ve used them!
Turquoise Pop is a pretty one!
that citrusy green is great.
I love greens! These are all great choices.
Turquoise Pop is really pretty!
These make me question my lack of green polish in my collection.
I didn’t know that Avon had these colors
They have quite the selection of colours, it is pretty amazing for a company not known for polishes.
Thanks for the comparison between Envy and Noir Emerald! I was trying to decide between the 2. 🙂
You’re welcome, I figured most people would wonder and since I had Envy, may as well compare
