In my quest to collect all of the available shades from the new Essence The Gel release, I spotted three more – three that were on my to buy list from the first sneak peeks!
Essence The Gel Amazed By You
I do love purple so had been watching for this one since I first heard of the release. Essence The Gel Amazed By You #52 is one of those perfect purples, dark but not too dark for regular wear and bright enough that it looks purple not black. It goes on fairly opaque but does need two coats for full opacity. It is thick enough that it does not flood the cuticle – always good with a darker polish!
Essence The Gel Turn The Lights On
Not the best picture of it, but I wanted you to see the shimmer
Essence The Gel’s Turn the Lights On #49 has a soft metal finish, which means a slight shimmer. This makes this cute pastel minty blue polish super wearable and not at all chalky looking. I applied this the day I picked up these with no base or top coat and it lasted three days – amazing wear for my nails! It looks almost white in the bottle in some lights but the blue hue shows well on the nail.
Someone stopped me on the street to ask me about this one because she thinks it is the perfect polish for her wedding day!
Essence The Gel Rock My World
Essence The Gel in Rock My World is honestly just your typical grey polish. Darker than it looks in the bottle, but not bordering black so can be worn easily to work etc. It does tend to pick up on greens or blues around it, something to think of if looking for a “pure grey”.
Yet another post that is making realize I need to try Essence polish! That silver shade is so pretty! It would be really nice for the holidays too 🙂
I definitely need a nice dove grey like that one. Maybe I should nab a few of these soon. (It looks more dove grey than minty blue to me! )
In person, it is definitely more mint leaning
