Avon Anew Hydra Fusion Gel Cream and Serum Review

Avon might not be the first thing I think of when buying new skincare but it is rare that their skincare has disappointed me. The new Avon ANEW Hydra Fusion range however takes their facial skincare to a new level.  Packed with hyaluronic acid and raspberry antioxidant, the Hydra Fusion line includes a serum and gel cream that I am reviewing today plus a micellar water and depuffing eye serum. I already use The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid before my usual skincare so I skipped it while using this range to really put it to the test.

Avon ANEW Hydra Fusion Replenishing Serum Review

Avon Anew Hydra Fusion Serum Review

“Powerful, lightweight formula that deeply hydrates. Replenishing Serum with over 10,000 microbubbles, the most pure and potent form of raspberry antioxidant is released each time you apply it. Contains hyaluronic acid, a super hydrator naturally found in skin that is lost over time, it holds more than 1 000 times its weight in water so skin looks smooth, refreshed and vibrant.”

This is going to sound sponsored, but it is not (they did send me the samples).  I love this stuff.  I skipped my regular hyaluronic acid so to have my skin feeling so hydrated with just the Avon NEW Hydra Fusion Serum is amazing.  It has a watery consistency and no bubbles once pumped out.  The lightweight formula melts into your skin quickly.  I don’t have time in the morning to let various skincare products soak in before the next one.  Major pet peeve.  So quick absorbing is a must.

It is priced at $45 CDN though.  And while on sale currently for $30, I think if I had not tried it and fell in love with it, I would get a Sephora type brand for the same price.  The Hydra Fusion serum the most expensive product of the range, but well worth the results.  My skin feels refreshed and looks better right after using it.  I often have really dry areas on my cheeks and they are gone in just 2 weeks of using this serum.

What’s On My Nails?

Avon Gel Finish nail polish in Sapphired Up.  A deep blue that is almost opaque in just one coat.  Topped with Mundo de Unas Bones and BPL-050 stamping plate design.

Avon ANEW Hydra Fusion Gel Cream Moisturizer Review

Avon Anew Hydra Fusion Gel Cream Review

Moisturize with 72 hours of long-lasting hydration. Skin looks smoother, refreshed and plumped with a healthier glow. Contains hyaluronic acid, a super hydrator naturally found in skin that is lost over time, it holds more than 1,000 times its weight in water so skin looks smooth, refreshed and vibrant. And also raspberry antioxidant which helps defend skin from environmental stressors to keep it looking healthy and glowing.”

Not sure anything gives my skin 72 hours of hydration.  Mostly because my skin has been a mess lately, but I have seen some overall improvement while using this range.  Avon ANEW Hydra Fusion Gel Cream is super lightweight and absorbs quickly.  Like the serum, you can see the difference right away.  Your skin feels plumper and makeup applies well over it without waiting ages to absorb.

My combination skin just isn’t great for this though.  My usual routine is to use something that helps with my oily t-zone in the morning and a more intense moisturizer at night.  This isn’t quite enough to replace a night cream for me but I found I was oilier on my forehead while testing the Avon Hydra Fusion Gel Cream.  I wish my regular moisturizer would make my skin look as plump and hydrated, but the oil impacts my makeup.

So the serum was a huge winner for me and one I will likely repurchase after I test the few others sitting on my desk.  The gel cream, I am putting away until winter when my skin tends to be drier and not so oily as I think it will work well then.  If you have dry or normal skin, you will likely love it and it is only $20 on sale at the moment!

  1. Love the look of the texture of the Hydra gel moisturizer – I’d love to try it out, although I have a pile of moisturizers to get through first before I can grab another one.
