Avon’s Gel Finish line rarely disappoints me. They are high shine, opaque polishes and come in a great variety of colours. The Gel Finish formula is three free and includes a strengthener for long lasting vivid colour with a gel like shine – no curing lamp needed. They are adding five new shades to the lineup for summer 2017 including Rose Noir which I have for you today.
Rose Noir is a bright but blackened rose pink. This colour is perfect for summer, especially if you are not into classic red nails. You get the same pop of colour on your tips. It is fairly opaque in one coat but evens really well on the second coat and gives the colour more depth. All swatches are shown with two coats of Rose Noir and Seche Vite top coat.
The dry time on the Gel Finish formula is good. By the time you have done all of your nails, they are dry enough for a second coat of polish. I rarely wear the same polish for more than 2-3 days but they survived that long without any tip wear or chips which is good for me as I am hard on my nails.
Avon Gel Finish Rose Noir Swatches
Gel Finish Rose Noir (Artificial Lighting)
Stamped with Mundo de Unas Black and XY-Z26 stamping plate (Artificial Lighting)
In natural sunlight, the rose pink colour really pops
Even when stamped over with black stamping polish (using XY-Z26 stamping plate) Rose Noir pops in sunlight
It is a little more dusty looking in natural shade but still a good amount of colour
Can You Stamp With Avon Gel Finish Rose Noir?
While these are fairly opaque polishes, they are harder colours to get good “regular polishes” that stamp. That being said, Rose Noir is bright and cheerful over white or other pale colours. It picks up well and transfers without smudging thanks to a fairly thick formula. The colour is not opaque enough to be obvious over black but shows well enough or a non stamping polish.
These new Avon Gel Finish shades will be available in August. Contact your local independent Avon representative to order them.
