Fiendish Fancies I Want My Cake 2nd Anniversary Thermal Polish Review and Swatches

Fiendish Fancies 2nd Anniversary Polish - I Want My Cake Swatches and Review

I had quite the list of polishes to check out at Indie Expo Canada but Fiendish Fancies I Want My Cake was one that I had preordered to pick up at the show.  Released this weekend for Fiendish Fancies’ second anniversary, I Want My Cake is based on the 80’s movie Creepshow.  The Father’s Day scene where the old man comes back to get the cake he wanted before he was murdered.  If you are not familiar with Fiendish Fancies, all of Lara’s polishes are based on horror movies.  But unlike the occasional similar themed polishes, are not all dark shades either.

Fiendish Fancies polishes come in nice heavy 15ml round bottles with a good sized brusgh that flattens well.  These are brand new polishes since they are just released but no major settling of the glitters.  The glitter and pigments both spread evenly on the nail.  No need to be doing glitter placement.  All swatches are three thin coats with Seche Vite top coat.

My nails are pretty short and my fingers are warm, but this is how Fiendish Fancies I Want My Cake looks naturally on me.  Not quite as lime green as in the warm state but a beautiful muted lime.

I can get it to go a little darker in the cool state but by the time I went outside after cooling the polish down, it was already changing back to the lime state.  I love this and would wear it as a non thermal polish.  The colour is so pretty on.  A dusty muted purple with brighter blue and purple glitter.

As hot as it can go, Fiendish Fancies I Want My Cake is more lime than it appears when naturally warm.  Still not super lime for those, who like me, need to watch for lobster hands with brighter greens.

Natural warm state on my nails with just a hint the purple at my short tips.  This is a gorgeous muted lime green polish.  I have to be careful of limes, and while this does bring out some redness in my skin tone, not complete lobster hands!

Getting cooler! The thermal shift in I Want My Cake goes to a gorgeous purple shade.  Again, a muted colour.  I love that this polish is lime green and purple yet muted enough to be work appropriate!

Just a hint of purple at the tips really brings out that purple glitter!

So my ring finger was not cooperating with a gradient of the colours but warm to cold.  A dusty purple to light lime green with a range of blue and purple glitters.  But this also glows in the dark!

Isn’t it pretty? This is the natural state as it is warming up after being cold.  Loving both colours in Fiendish Fancies I Want My Cake!  I don’t even want to stamp over it.

Buy It: This was available by preorder for Indie Expo Canada with some available at the show.  It should be available online around June 10.  You can keep an eye on the site here for the release of Fiendish Fancies I Want My Cake or watch Lara’s facebook page.  Even better, head over here to become part of the Fiendish Fanciers group to get updates!
