CND Creative Play Tangerine Rush Swatches & Review

CND Creative Play Tangerine Rush from Sunset Bash Collection - Swatch Sunlight

CND Creative Play Tangerine Rush from Sunset Bash Collection - Bottle Shot

Probably the brightest shade of the summer 2017 Sunset Bash collection, CND Creative Play Tangerine Rush is a neon red leaning orange creme polish.  This one has great opacity with only two coats needed and no white undie to show the neon like colour.

CND Creative Play Tangerine Rush from Sunset Bash Collection - Open Bottle and Brush

As with all Creative Play polishes, Tangerine Rush comes in a 13.6ml round bottle with a medium sized brush.  The Creative Play advanced brush designed with nearly 400 bristle ends to allow for precision and smooth application. I like that it gives precision while not being as small as Essie’s brushes.  The micronized pigments deliver smooth, uniform application, high gloss, and richly saturated color.

CND Creative Play Tangerine Rush from Sunset Bash Collection - Dupe Comparisons

The closest shade I have to Tangerine Rush is Sally Hansen’s Salon Manicure in Carnivale which leans more pink.  Shown for Comparison: Quo Freshly Cut, Essie Roarrrange, Zoya Beatrix, Avon Coral Reef, Sally Hansen Carnivale and CND Vinylux Salmon Run.

CND Creative Play Tangerine Rush from Sunset Bash Collection - Swatch Artificial Light

Tangerine Rush from the CND Creative Play Sunset Bash collection leans orange, red or coral depending on lighting.  In artificial lighting, the neon orange comes through and it is rich and glossy in only two coats.

CND Creative Play Tangerine Rush from Sunset Bash Collection - Swatch Shade

In natural shade, it leans more red with a hint of creamy orange colour.  Still a vibrant neon colour but not quite as orange.

CND Creative Play Tangerine Rush from Sunset Bash Collection - Swatch Sunlight

In bright sunlight, the red comes through a little more than in artificial lighting but it is still more orange than it appears in shade.  You can see a touch of nail line in the photos but the photos are larger than actual size and it is not noticeable to the naked eye.

Shown with two coats of Tangerine Rush with CND Creative Play base coat and top coat for all swatches.  Tangerine Rush has a great formula.  Shades like this tend to either be streaky or really sheer.  It does a great job of getting full coverage in two coats and no white base is needed to bring out the neon colour of this summer polish.

Can You Stamp With CND Creative Play Tangerine Rush

Do They Stamp - CND Creative Play Tangerine Rush

As you can see, Tangerine Rush is bright and orange over white.  When stamped over black, it does show but there are probably better stamping polishes out there that will show (Mundo de Unas definitely has one).  That being said, it shows well enough if you don’t have an orange stamping polish on hand.  Probably look great for neon stamping for summer too.  I am thinking this would watermarble well too.
