Since we are focusing on British Beauty over at the Canadian Beauty Bloggers this month, it only seems right that I share this London and UK themed stamping plate. Born Pretty BP-L058 nail stamping plate as a mix of full size images and smaller objects all with a British theme. Choose from very British plaid, a Union Jack flag, tea time, London landmarks and more with BP-L058 stamping plate from Born Pretty Store.

The London bus on this really caught my attention since they are so iconic but I love the umbrella one too. Maybe not for a British or London themed manicure but a weather one. Makes the plate more versatile too. I might try a Sherlock mani with the last image at some point too. Maybe when Elementary returns next season since it actually got renewed despite terrible viewer numbers.

The middle row of the BP-L058 stamping plate has some of my fave images. The Pound/money symbol picks up beautifully and I am already planning a tea time manicure because I needed the plate for that image alone. The London landmarks are also gorgeous and well etched. See my mani using them below!
I am missing the London Wheel here because Jazzy stole the swatch stick. A cat chewed stick is not all that pretty! But the image is shown on my nails, just keep scrolling down.

I have better plaid stamping plates but the three images will cover most looks if you don’t have some. The Union Jack would have been better as a layered image. The parts that should be blue pick up with the red. By the time you can carefully remove them, even stamping polish is drying. I ended up having to use a sticky base coat to stick the red layer and then used a blue Sharpie for those parts rather than trying to remove the red parts.
I think the three on the right of the Union Jack would need explaining in a manicure so not sure if I would use them but they pick up well. The hearts on the silver one are meant to have those gaps, they appear on the plate.
Favourite Images from Born Pretty BP-L058 Stamping Plate
Despite the issues picking it up and getting the blue parts, the Union Jack makes it into my faves. I did have some issues with it drying and ended up using Girly Bits rather than Born Pretty red stamping polish for the slower dry time. I also love the tea time and Pound (currency) images. Not sure how I will use the Pound one in a manicure but I want to! My tea time mani will be on the blog soon so watch for that!
London Landmarks Manicure Using Born Pretty Store BP-L058 Nail Stamping Plate
I decided to go for a London landmarks themed manicure with Big Ben, The Shard, what I am guessing is a rough representation of St Paul’s Cathedral, the London Eye and a map of the UK. The base is a gradient of Sinful Colors Snow Me White and China Glaze License & Registration Pls. All of the images stamped beautifully and are a good size for most nails. I hate when you get great images like this and they are too large for a nail as they often do not shrink well and loose the definition of the images.
