I have had these travel themed water decals sitting in my nail art stash forever. Since the Canadian Beauty Bloggers theme of the month is British Beauty, seemed like a great time to try out the Big Ben decals from this pack. The travel pack has a mix of London, Paris and Pisa decals even though it is named the Big Ben Pattern. I am pretty sure by British Beauty, they meant British brands but whatever… I want Big Ben nails!
The Big Ben decals are not Born Pretty branded, but Beautiful Finger. They come in a larger pack that seems to be three sets of decals that could have been cut into separate packs as one sheet.
Big Ben / London Water Decal Swatches
Unlike many of the water decals that Born Pretty sells, these are not transparent. They are slightly thicker than the Born Pretty branded ones so easier to move around once placed. Since the background colour is on the decals, you can skip the white base. They do stick better to polish than natural nail though so use at least a base coat.
I chose different images from the sheet for each nail. The London text is actually from the telephone boxes on my pinky but blended well. Not sue what the text is on the ring finger unless they “borrowed” and image that had a watermark without realizing. It is on all four of the same images. Not super noticeable on the sheet but certainly on the nail.
One of the downsides to this set of nail decals is the sizes. They have some great thumb/large nail sizes and tiny ones that would fit a child’s nails but not much in between. Since the images are not transparent and most have scenery cut off, this means they need to fit your nail well. Other than that, I loved how they were a little thicker but not hard to work with. So will be watching for more of these Beautiful Finger water decals.
You can buy these Big Ben / Tower decals from Born Pretty Store here. They are currently $1.69 for a large sheet but as always, enter HNEX31 at checkout to save 10% on your purchase.
