Another day of local/indie shopping posts. Today, I have Peppermint Candy Cane soap along with some mini Christmas themed soaps from Ocean Blue Skincare.
Ocean Blue Skin Care is a GTA based (Hamilton and Toronto) mother and daughter team focusing on handmade skin care. They make a variety of soaps, special facial soaps including Tea Tree Oil plus a variety of moisturizers including eye cream. I recently picked up one of their seasonal soaps, Peppermint Candy Cane because I am a sucker for all the minty stuff for Christmas. They also had grab bags of mini Christmas themed soaps so I added some of those too because we are not putting up our tree again (I do love Jazzy, but that cat is a nightmare) so Christmas tree soap!
Ocean Blue uses all natural ingredients and food grade oils in their soaps to safely nourish your skin without harsh chemicals. The same is true for their holiday collection while many companies skimp knowing people will buy almost anything at Christmas. Peppermint Candy Cane soap has olive, coconut, palm, canola, avocado and castor oils blue mango butter so doesn’t leave your skin dry at all. The peppermint essential oil smells amazing and it is adorable looking with a pink and white swirled design with cute pink hearts and swirls on top.
Ocean Blue Skin Care Christmas Mini Soaps
The mini Christmas soaps came in a variety of designs. The Christmas tree caught my attention but there were various sizes and number of soaps. I am not sure if they were originally scented as they seem to have taken on the amazing peppermint scent from being open in the same bag as my Ocean Blue Skin Care Peppermint Candy Cane soap. They also have glitter on them which means he isn’t going to steal them!
Other holiday scents for the full size soaps include Coffee Cake, Holiday Neopolitan, Spicy Christmas Tree, and Chocolate Orange as well as Peppermint Candy Cane shown.
You can buy online from Ocean Blue Skin Care here or follow them on twitter ~ facebook ~ instagram. They also have a list of upcoming markets and shows to check out if you are local here.
