Valentine's Day Nail Art - Red & White Hearts

You can never have enough heart themed nail stamps, so I picked up some new ones from Nail Polish Canada to refresh my Valentine’s Day nail looks.  This one goes for a classic red look with some sparkle and lots of white hearts in various designs.  I wanted to try out a bunch of the stamps ahead of doing nail art looks, but they work well together so here it is.

Red & White Hearts Nail Art Look

Polishes/Tools used:

  • Zoya Pixie Dust in Oswin
  • MoYou White Knight Stamping Polish
  • Essie Gel Setter topcoat
  • Bundle Monster plates BM-H18 (index and baby fingers) & BM-620 (middle finger)
  • Pueen plate 16 (ring finger & invisible thumb)
  • Soft stamping head (I used a Born Pretty one)

I originally tried this with a plain red creme polish base, but it just wasn’t sparkly enough and a shimmer top coat took away from the hearts so I went for Zoya Pixie Dust in Oswin.  Since it is textured, two coats of top coat to smooth it over for easier stamping transfer.

Oswin dries quickly, but you will want to leave the top coat to dry well and maybe use a marshmallow/soft stamp for a flawless look.  Even with two coats, there are some areas where the white hearts did not transfer well due to the bumps from the textured glitter.  Once stamped, add some more top coat and you are done.

It really is, it is just so chunky so you need lots of top coat for nail art over it LOL

  2. This is a fun look. I love the sparkle underneath.

It is so pretty, I had this polish before and gave it away and now I am wondering why
