As I mentioned the other day, there are lots of new shades in the Avon True Color range and today I am sharing their nail polishes in Smoky Plum and Night Violet. These are two of the shades I have really been enjoying from the latest release of the True Color collection.
Avon True Color Smoky Plum Nail Polish Swatches and Review
Smoky Plum in mixed sunlight / artificial lighting

Avon True Color Smoky Plum in natural sunlight
Smoky Plum is the more light dependent of the two colours I tried from the spring release of True Color shades from Avon. It can look like a light brown to purple depending on lighting and clothing worn near it. These photos take just minutes apart in different lighting conditions show the range of shades that it can appear. Personally I find it a little less plum-y and more brown but an amazing neutral but very wearable shade.
Wear time for Avon True Color Smoky Plum was good. I took it off after three days with tip wear but no chips. I added stamping over it on the second day so it did have a second coat of top coat to protect it.
Avon True Color Night Violet Nail Polish Swatches and Review
Night Violet is much less lighting dependent than Smoky Plum. A beautiful dark purply-red shade with a gorgeous shimmer. The shimmer does have touches of blue and silver to cool it down which makes it very wearable as a dark colour. I adore the vampy look of the colour and was surprised to find it in the spring release but am loving it I also wore this for three days adding some stamping on the second day. It had a little more tipwear, maybe just more noticeable since it is a darker colour but no major chips.
These shades are available from your local Avon rep or on avon.ca now.
