Christmas is all about the Christmas movies for me. I may have squealed a little when I saw that Elf would be on soon because it means the start of so many Christmas movies. So when Stephanie mentioned her upcoming Merry Grinchy Christmas polish when I tried out Spiced Plum and Goldschlacquer a while back I had to have it. I have a love hate relationship with jelly glitter polishes, but it is like ugly Christmas sweaters, just has to be done.
Joy & Polish Co.’s Merry Grinchy Christmas is a Grinch green jelly base with red, gold and green glitter. There is a good amount of glitter included and you don’t have to fish around to get enough for even coverage. The glitter will drag the jelly layer beneath if not dry, so allow to dry between coats.
Shown with three coats of Joy & Polish Merry Grinchy Christmas with Essence XXXL Volume plumping top coat. You can still see a little nail line in the close up, but it is not noticeable to the naked eye. The the colour is good with three coats and you get a perfect amount of glitter spread across the nail between jelly layers.
Stephanie sells her new Joy & Polish Co shades on etsy and at local markets for $10 each, including Merry Grinchy Christmas. It should be up in her etsy store soon or you can send her a message letting her know you saw it here to see if she will list one for you. In the mean time, she also has four older Christmas themed shades on clearance for $6 each. Choose between Cinnamon Stick, Celebrate!, Festive! and Midnight Snowfall.
If you catch her at a show, she also has nail vinyls for sale and the last holiday one where I picked up Merry Grinchy Christmas also had nail polish gift sets with cuticle oil, toe seperators and more ready to gift in a jar!
