Avon Gel Finish 7-in-1 nail polish in Dazzle Pink is your typical light pink creme polish with an added silverish pink shimmer.  Dazzle Pink is not a new polish, but $1 from every purchase this month will be donated to Avon Foundation for Women Breast Cancer Crusade.  They also have the Breast Cancer Crusade key chain with charms shown which is selling for $6 with $1.20 donated to the cause and a beautiful pink and silver Breast Cancer Illusion necklace which will give $3 to the cause priced at $15.

The pink has a salmon undertone and the shimmer is barely noticeable unless in bright sunlight but makes it a very wearable pink.  Opacity is decent for a lighter polish but you will need 2-3 coats to cover the nail line completely and bring out the shimmer.  Dry time is good and I could apply a nail decal without any dents or marks after ten minutes.

Under artificial lighting, it appears more pink (as does my skin, so its a lighting issue but this is the closest to how the colour appears to the naked eye for me).    Avon asks you to paint a nail pink (not just Dazzle Pink, but any pink will do) and share on social media with #1in9 to support the 1 in 9 Canadian women who are expected to develop breast cancer in her lifetime.

Since I still had some decal paper, I made a homemade decal using a clipart image of a breast cancer research ribbon.  My paper has a clear background so rather than cutting carefully, I left it as a full nail which sadly toned down the shimmer in the Dazzle Pink nail polish a bit but you can see my #1in9 nailart!

To date, Avon has donated over $23 million to breast cancer support services, screening, diagnosis, access to treatment, awareness and education programs as well as research through Avon Foundation for Women (Canada).  Each of their new Touch of Pink Crusade products include a donation of $1-3 to the cause, so treat yourself to something new, and help a great cause at the same time.
