For December, Cynthia from Alter Ego choose a holographic charcoal grey. The inspiration behind Get The Snow Off The Road is that frosty look on asphalt after the snow has been removed. It is a charcoal base with three different sizes of holo particles in it so it shines no matter what lighting you are in. It will be $10 US and only available through Polish Pickup.

ALL THE HOLO! Three coats needed for full opacity. It looked pretty good with two but I have a very strong visible nail line and it added some depth to the grey base too. Formula is good and no scrubbing needed for removal. I didn’t wear it long enough for a wear test but Alter Ego generally wears well on my nails.

Not the best pictures but it was -10c and felt even colder when I took photos and my hands were freezing even for the minute I was outside taking photos.

There is a tradition in the US thought to be German in origin (even though most German people have never heard of it) where you hide a glass pickle in the Christmas Tree. The person who finds it on Christmas morning gets good fortune and sometimes there is an extra gift for them under the tree.

Alter Ego You Found Good Fortune pickle soap was a request from a member in the Alter Ego Facebook Group after seeing the rubber chicken soap. It is exclusively available from Polish Pickup/Indie Pickup for $5. You get both a full pickle and a spear pickle with dill pickle scent for $5. There is a cap of 25 pickle soaps, so order early if you really want a pickle soap! I get a little mint with the pickle scent, but it was packaged with a menthol product so maybe from that. Definitely not a strong vinegar type scent from the pickles though.
