Alter Ego Undies For Indies Duo – Up In The Trees & Autumn Glory

Cynthia from Alter Ego is the latest custom maker for the Undies for Indies facebook group. Each month, they have a custom duo with an “undie” polish and a topper or polish to go over the undie that changes the look. Alter Ego went for a rich chocolate brown for “Up in the Trees” as the undie polish and golden, orange, copper fuchsia and UCC flakies as the topper named Autumn Glory.

There is a little ugly bottle syndrome showing here but it was temporary. I took photos as soon as I got them as they released yesterday but they were very cold from mailing. Once they warmed up, any orange lines showing were gone.

Shown with one coat of Alter Ego Up In The Trees on the two middle fingers and two on the baby finger and pointer. It really didn’t need the second coat and I did not use a particularly thick coat. If you read my blog regularly, you will know that I have a strong visible nail line, especially on my ring finger. So Up In The Trees is a true one coater.

Alter Ego Autumn Glory Swatches (Undies for Indies Custom “Topper”)

Lots of shifty colours in Alter Ego Autumn Glory. It has a clear base with warm toned flakies. There are two thin coats of flakies on each nail. I brushed it on using the bottle’s brush but it would probably look amazing sponged on for more opaque coverage.

• Issues: None but as a one coater, wear a good base coat to avoid any staining (no staining occurred, but I haven’t tested it for long)
• Colour: Up In The Trees is a rich chocolate brown. Autumn Glory is a clear base topper with golden, orange, copper fuchsia and UCC flakies
