I mentioned the Indie Love & Light Project recently when talking about Paint It Pretty Polish’s gorgeous charity polish, Go For It. But they are also encouraging the indie community to share a little love with Random Acts of Kindness. Some of the makers have made special RAOK polishes, have special offers or discounted mystery polishes to help you share your love of the brand for less. Since most of the participating brands are US based, I have pricing details if you want to send to someone in Canada.
All of the RAOK options I have seen so far are under $20 Canadian, so you shouldn’t have to worry about customs fees. Shipping does vary widely by maker, so I have checked postage costs to my GTA address. It is just a rough estimate as most base shipping costs by postal code.
Want to send a RAOK but not sure who to send to? Many of the makers have a list of people they think deserve a pick me up, so reach out and ask the brand or join the Indie Love & Light facebook group. Indie Love & Light starts today and ends on September 30th, so you have plenty of time to send a RAOK if you want to.

Spoil your RAOK recipient with not only a full size polish but a bath bomb too! All Mixed Up Lacquers has the combo for $6 US and will even take requests (not guaranteed) for shades or change the bath bomb to unscented.
Heather’s Hues (mystery polish $21.30 CAD / $16 US shipped)
Heather’s Hues will be offering mystery polishes for $10 shipped in the US. For Canadians, she is offering a $3 discount on shipping. It is not set up in the shop though so reach out directly to Heather for your international discount. Shipping to me was $9 so just $6 with the discount.

Another mystery polish option but sadly this one is US shipping only. If you are Canadian, they are an affordable brand for sending a RAOK to someone in the US though.
