I will admit to being a little lazy sometimes.  I get home late, fall into bed and think “crap, makeup”.  So I keep a pack of makeup remover wipes handy for if I really can’t be bothered to get back up or for on the go use.  I recently got a pack of TONYMOLY Pro Clean Smoky Cleansing Tissues to try out.

They are formulated to easily remove even waterproof makeup plus gently exfoliate and unclog pores, and leave skin feeling refreshed and nourished.  They have baking powder to exfoliate, but you don’t really feel it on the wipe.  Lavender Extract for its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties to help to calm skin.  Finally, a mix of Olive Oil, Macadamia Seed Oil, Argan Oil, Jojoba Oil, Avocado Oil for intense hydration.

The makeup removing / cleansing wipes are a decent size.  I hate buying the ones that are tiny and you have to use multiples.  You are meant to start with the eyes, lips and any waterproof makeup on a section and then finish by wiping your entire face with the clean portion.

One wipe was enough to remove all of my makeup.  I didn’t have a pile of waterproof makeup the day I tried these and my brown mascara tends to be a little easier to remove than my waterproof black one (tested below).  I did need to wipe my eyes a few times to get all traces of mascara and liner.  That was surprising as they feel quite oily so I expected it to break them down easily, but I didn’t need to scrub either.

The TONYMOLY Pro Clean Cleansing Wipes do leave your skin feeling a little oily from the moisturizing oils.  For those with dry skin, you may love them but I did use a cleanser after just in case.  My combo skin doesn’t need the extra oil on my t-zone.  The lavender extract does not come through on the scent.  You can smell some lavender, but it is not overpowering and they smell “clean” rather than old lady lavender.

I decided to try several wateproof lines of makeup.  Ones I know are usually a little stubborn for removal.  Let them dry for 45 minutes after spritzing with setting spray.  Before trying the TONYMOLY makeup remover wipes, I ran my arm under hot water and wiped with a cloth.  A little smudging from the lip products but the brow and eye products were still largely the same.

It took about three swipes of the TONYMOLY Pro Clean Smoky Cleansing Tissues to remove all of the waterproof makeup, but it did the job easily.  The blue glitter liner shown (Avon Glimmerstick) often stains and streaks when removed but came off easily with these wipes.  Overall, they do work really well but I would personally always rinse the residue off as they are a bit too oily for my skin.
