Weleda Cuticle Softener and Nail Care Pen Reviews

As someone who applies cuticle oil religiously, I will admit that I found these Weleda products a little gimmicky when they arrived but I have come to love them.  The Weleda Nail Care Pen is basically a thick gel style cuticle oil with a brush tip applicator.  The Weleda Cuticle Softener Pen is a little different and has become a swatching go to!  both contain Pomegranate Seed Oil and have a light scent.

Starting with Weleda Cuticle Softener Pen as it is a little more unique than the nail care pen and I like it better.  If you have ever tried a bunch of polishes in a day, you know how damaging removal can be.  Acetone overuse is a serious problem people!  Anyway, most swatchers oil a lot when trying a whole collection in a day.  But then you get oily fingered photos or have to wait longer to rub it in.  Since I am always in a time crunch, I have come to love this Weleda Cuticle Softener Pen.

It has Jojoba Seed Oil along with Soybean Oil, Coconut Oil and Pomegranate Seed Oil for ultra moisturization and cuticle care.  But it also comes with a chiseled pen type tip you can gently push your cuticles back with.  A gentle push makes my swatch photos look better and only applies a light coat of oil right at the cuticle line.

The downside to the Weleda Cuticle Softener Pens is the price tag.  They come with multiple tips but cost around $20 CDN.  With only 3ml of product, pretty high price tag.  I can buy four bottles of my fave cuticle oil for that.  I would definitely stock up on sale though.

The Weleda Nail Care Pen is similarly priced and has 2.2ml of product.  It is a gel style so a little goes a long way but still works out more expensive than my usual cuticle oil per use.

The oil itself is nice.  Like the Cuticle Softener Pen, it is Jojoba Oil based with multiple other oils and Pomegranate Seed Oil.  It does soften the cuticles well and the gel formula makes it easy to apply a little at the cuticle and work it up the nail to the tips. But my $5 indie cuticle oil works just as well and comes in a lot of scents.

Both Weleda nail products are 90% or more organic ingredients which is great.  Jojoba oil works for me but I know many people have issues with it, so be aware it is Jojoba based as the packaging puts more emphasis on the Pomegranate Seed Oil.

Both of these Weleda nail care products are available from well.ca if you want to buy them in Canada.  If you are a new well.ca customer, you can save $10 on your first purchase of $40+ with coupon code WELEDATNP to try these for less.
