Paint it Pretty Polish Was Summer A Dream - Sept 2018 Exclusive Bottle

Paint it Pretty Polish has some exciting things coming out soon.  Since I saw her at the Craftadian show in Hamilton on the weekend, I was lucky enough to get her September exclusive polish a little early!  Paint it Pretty Polish Was Summer A Dream? is her first monthly exclusive.  It will be $11 and sold only for the month of September.  The good news is, you can also pick up her new thermals if you wait until September 14th.

Paint it Pretty Polish Was Summer A Dream - Sept 2018 Exclusive Bottle Swatch

Paint it Pretty Polish Was Summer A Dream? has a light blue base with purple/copper/green aurora shimmers, blue/violet/purple UCC flakes and silver holo microflakes.  A lot going on in one bottle of polish to make it so pretty on the nail.  You know I have a thing for blues and purples anyway so a blue with a purple flash is always going to be gorgeous to me.

The colour shown on my thumb here is the most colour accurate to how it appears in normal indoor lighting.

The shimmers in Was Summer A Dream? by Paint it Pretty Polish means that the colour is very light dependent.  In artificial lighting, it leans more blue with a stronger flash from the shimmers.  The more intense blue means the flakies look a little darker too.

In natural sunlight, Paint it Pretty Polish’s September Exclusive is more muted.  You get a little more pink from the pretty aurora shimmer making it more lilac looking on the nail.  Still blue and cooler but definitely more of a purple all over rather than the flash you get in artificial lighting.

  1. I find the name so amusing because it’s very winterscape/snowflake themed of a polish and I’m currently WISHING summer was just a far off distant dream!

  5. Ooh this nail polish is pretty!!! I also agree that it has a winter feel to it, but since Sapphire is the birthstone of September it makes sense to go blue for the month.
