Alter Ego Women Inherit The World Swatches (Velocirapture Collection)

Another polish from Alter Ego’s Velocirapture collection, Women Inherit The World.  This is the most summery and feminine of the five shades in this Jurassic Park inspired release.  A peachy shade with a chrome base.  It is also a little less opaque so while it still stamps well, you will need two coats of Alter Ego Women Inherit The World for full opacity.

 

 

Inspired by this clip of the movie and Ellie Sattler’s shirt in the movie, the characters are discussing how dinosaurs were created, extinct and recreated. Ellie replies with: Dinosaurs eat man, women inherit the earth.

Shown with one coat on my ring finger, you can see it is almost a one coater but has some semi bare spots that need a second for full coverage.

Women Inherit The World by Alter Ego shows more coral-peach in artificial lighting.  Like the rest of the collection, it appears more glowing in artificial lighting but the chrome base looks different in natural light.

I am not always the biggest fan of peach/pink/coral for my nails.  However, Alter Ego Women Inherit The World just seems to work.  Maybe it is the chrome base toning down the colour but I can actually see wearing this again.

In natural light, the chrome base mutes the colour and it appears paler.  The silver tone of the base is more noticeable.  A bit more salmon than coral.

Removal, like the rest of the Alter Ego Velocirapture collection, was fairly easy.  You do need to rub a little to remove the chrome base but not scrub.  Using 100% acetone, I simply left it on the nail for a few seconds longer than normal and it wiped away.

While Alter Ego Women Inherit The World still stamps really well for a regular polish, it is not quite as opaque as some of the others in the collection.  It shows well over black and white but not as full coverage as some.  Unlike the others, the paler colour means the chrome base shows better over white though too.  It still performs better than some actual stamping polishes in my collection.

• Dry time:  Good, nails were dry enough for the second coat

• Issues: Nothing major – requires a little scrubbing for removal.  No staining on the nail using sticky base coat.
