Getting Colourful With Avon Sunset Beach and Tropical Breeze

Avon True Color Sunset Beach and Tropical Breeze Review

Avon True Color Sunset Beach and Tropical Breeze Review

Summer means adding a little bit of colour to my often black wardrobe.  So time to brighten up the makeup too!  Avon wants to help you add a pop of colour with their new Avon True Color Sunset Beach palette and Tropical Breeze eyeliners.  The palette has a blush and quad of shadows while the True Color Tropical Breeze liners come in three fun shades.  They don’t have a crease colour, so you would definitely need to use these in conjunction with another shadow or palette but great for a pop of colour with the blue or green and a bronzed look with the others.

The Avon True Color Sunset Beach palette has their pink toned Sunkissed blush and four eye shadows.   Sandy is a golden bronze shadow.  Sea Glass is a bright blue that really pops when applied wet.  Coral Reef is a very wearable pinky coral while Surfside is a dark mossy green.

These definitely apply better with a damp applicator or over a colour popping primer and were fairly easy to blend.  While they had a shimmer to them, they did not seem glittery or chunky as some similar shades can do.

Avon True Color Sunset Beach Palette is priced at $15 but you can get it for $9.99 with the purchase of select other products.

Avon True Color Tropical Breeze Eye and Lip Liners

There are three liners to choose from.  The Avon Trie Color Tropical Breeze Liners can be used for lips or eyes.  Cool Waters is a bright sky blue and applies beautifully.  Strawberry Parfait is a darker pink with a good formula.  Applied smoothly but not quite as beachy as the rest of the collection.  A nice pop of colour for those moving away from neutrals without going really colourful though.  Finally, Key Lime is a neon yelllowy green.  It applies fine but doesn’t really work for my colouring so hard to truly review it.

Strawberry Parfait is the only one I have tried on my lips but it applied well with little feathering.  I am not bold enough to do a blue lip but would probably work well.  Avon True Color Tropical Breeze Multi Liners are currently $4.99 but have a regular price of $9 each.

Avon Sunset Beach Palette & Tropical Breeze Liner Swatches

Avon True Color Sunset Beach and Tropical Breeze Swatches Review

Two swipes of shadow with a slightly damp brush shown.  The blush is swatched using an eyeshadow brush to show the tone but blends to a beautiful pink  flush when applied correctly.

The Tropical Breeze liners are shown with one heavy handed X and softly writing.  They are a twist up pencil style so hard to get a point once used.  Key Lime is more yellow than lime green and not something that goes with my skin tone but would likely look amazing on darker skin tones if it shows well enough.  The other two had great opacity.

  1. I love the rich colours in the The Avon True Color Sunset Beach palette . The simmer and creaminess of the shadows would look summerlicious on sun kissed skin.
