Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is my guilty pleasure.  I liked the old game when it was available on Wii and unlike most games, you can play for a bit without worrying about lives etc.  So great to play while on transit or killing time.  The latest challenge in the game, Lottie’s Gothic Rose Festival, allowed you to grow roses which attract bats.  Not sure I would want a garden of bats but you collect them to get new items like the dress and hairdo my character is wearing.

There were purple, red and the pictured “fusion” roses along with four kinds of bats.  So I decided to do my nails to match the different stages of the game.

OK, so the game didn’t actually have red bats, but they did have gold ones carrying rubies.  I thought it looked better to keep the colours the same.  If it didn’t have the bats, I could probably have gotten away with this as a Valentine’s day look.

I should have had Animal Crossing open when I did this because I was sure the dress was more purple than pink toned.  Either way, I actually quite like this look.

I am lazy and did not hand paint the different coloured petals to mimic the ones in Animal Crossing.  The fusion roses are  a mix of purple, light blue and darker blue.  My lighter colours don’t quite pop enough, but Animal Crossing meant them to be gothic so I went more with that feeling.
