Quo by Orly 12 Days of Colorful Healthy Nails Days 1-6

So hopefully I am not spoiling this for anyone as I am not 100% sure I put them back in the right slots after posting my spoilers!  It has been a rough few days so am behind on posting these on instagram, so you get them all at once here.  There are only five since yesterday was the base/top coat that doubles as a clear coat.  It really should have been day one so you could use it (as I have been). Not much point showing swatches of it, but I will review it below.

The 12 Days of Colorful Healthy Nails by Quo is a Shoppers Drug Mart exclusive and contains 12 mini nail polishes for $40.  I started opening mine since I have another 12 day one to start using on the 13th.  It annoys me that this was printed for Quo yet they didn’t add the U into colorful.   Not like they are using the same packaging in the US.

Quo by Orly Breathable Stronger Than Ever Swatches (Day 1 of Quo 12 Days of Colorful Healthy Nails)

• Coats required:  2 coats (shown with top coat)
• Dry time:  ok, not especially slow but not great.
• Wear time: normal
• Issues: none
• Colour: red with some gold shimmer/micro glitter

I have tried Stronger Than Ever before and do prefer the full size brush for applying it but it is a pretty red.  A little darker and the gold makes it more wearable for those who are not huge red fans.

Quo by Orly Breathable Pep In Your Step Swatches (Day 2 of Quo 12 Days of Colorful Healthy Nails)

• Dry time:  decent
• Wear time: normal
• Issues: none
• Colour: bright pink creme

Pink really isn’t my thing, but Pep In My Step is pretty.  Not very December-ish though.  Nice and cheerful on a cold day though.

Quo by Orly Breathable De-stressed Denim Swatches (Day 3 of Quo 12 Days of Colorful Healthy Nails)

• Coats required:  2 coats (shown with top coat)
• Dry time:  decent
• Wear time: hard to tell, this only lasted about 24 hours but I was being very hard on my nails.
• Issues: none
• Colour: dusty denim blue

My favourite so far, but hardly a surprise that I would prefer a blue over the other shades in first 6 days.

Quo by Orly Breathable Aloe, Goodbye Swatches (Day 4 of Quo 12 Days of Colorful Healthy Nails)

• Coats required:  3 coats (shown with top coat)
• Dry time:  slow
• Wear time: low, tip wear in hours (maybe due to slow drying)
• Issues: sheer compared to the other shades tried so far, slower drying (seriously, pillow marks hours after painting my nails!)
• Colour: grey creme with a flash of green shimmer

This is the best picture I could get of the flash of greeny-grey from Aloe, Goodbye.  It is only obvious in very bright light but otherwise looks like a fairly plain grey.

Quo by Orly Breathable Barely There Swatches (Day 5 of Quo 12 Days of Colorful Healthy Nails)

• Coats required:  2 coats (shown with top coat)
• Dry time:  ok
• Wear time: decent
• Issues: none
• Colour: white, but not stark white, almost creamy very pale pink(maybe just playing off my skintone)

Definitely needs a decent top coat and be sure you cover it completely.  You can see how it is more matte on the side of my ring finger where I didn’t cover it well with the mini top coat brush.  A nice white for the base for nail art as it is slightly creamier and not in your face white.

Maybe it is just the mini brush, but the top coat is not great.  I got a few noticeable bubbles on my nails using it.  Plus, it does not dry as fast or shiny as say Quo by Orly Color Amp’d top coat.  Also doesn’t smell as bad though.  I hate minis for top coat in general though, the less strokes, the better.
