The6Tea Rooibos Rainbow Tea Steeping Instructions

Another tea from The6Tea, a local Toronto area tea company.  If you are not familiar with The6Tea, I first heard about them because you can make your own tea blends through them at an affordable price.  I previously tried All That Jazz from them (featuring a photo of the Jazz Monster of course) and now have The Rooibos Rainbow for you.  This one is meant to taste like a pot of gold with fruity and smooth amaretto notes in South African Rooibos tea.

The6Tea offers a sample pack of four samples for $4.99 including shipping in Canada.  The samples are similar to the size of a DAVIDsTEA sample. Eenough to make one cup, not a large mug.  But strong enough to get the real flavour with a cup size.

The6Tea The Rooibos Rainbow Tea Ingredients & Steeping Instructions

Ingredients: Rooibos, Safflower + Cornflower + Calendula petals, Natural flavors, Almond nut oil

Steeping Instructions: 1 sample packet makes 7oz tea using boiling water.  Steep for 3-7 minutes.

You know I am a sucker for cornflower, it always looks so cheerful in a tea and sets the tone for this fruity blend.  The fruity and amaretto flavours come from natural flavouring rather than “actual” ingredients, but at least it is natural and no artificial sweeteners.

I like this one.  The Rooibos Rainbow by The6Tea has a nutty but sweet taste.  The sample packet made a nice strong cuppa in 5 minutes.  It has a fruity flavour.  Kinda like fruit candy where it is sweet but you can’t really place the flavour.  It works though and the smooth amaretto aftertaste is a nice combo.  Like most Rooibos, brews to a nice amber colour and does not oversteep easily.  It definitely has a strong Rooibos base though, so if you are not a fan of nuttier Rooibos, I would give The Rooibos Rainbow a miss.  Otherwise, enjoy an easy to drink anytime cuppa!

  1. Oh, this is a new Canadian tea company to me. I love David’s Tea and I’ll have to try this company out. Black tea is my favorite but Rooibos is good too.
