Have you tried any of the DAVIDsTEA Soup Teas?  I admit I was not a huge fan of Spicy Rasam.  But I love tomato soup, homemade, even the condensed stuff in a can.  So I had high hopes for DAVIDsTEA Tomato Turmeric Soup Tea,  It certainly smells delicious in the ingredient mix.  As with the other soup teas, you can use an infuser to make a broth or leave the ingredients in the cup for a heartier soup tea.

The small to-go cups come with a sample bag inside so completely sealed and cost $3 while you can grab a larger bag to make multiple soup teas at home for $12.  Each soup has a different coloured to-go cup and matching spoon.  So you can sip it as a savoury tea or drink it as a heartier soup tea with the spoon.

DAVIDsTEA Tomato Turmeric Soup Tea Ingredients: Tomato, salt, green tea, celery, turmeric, garlic, silicon dioxide.

How to make DAVIDsTEA Soup Teas

As with Spicy Rasam and Rosemary Black Pepper, I tried my Tomato Turmeric soup tea using the to go cup sized sample as a heartier version of a mug meal.  DAVIDsTEA Tomato Turmeric.  If you are using the to-go cup, it has a smaller sample so add 10oz/300ml water instead of the 16oz/475ml in the instructions.

This one is the only of the three new soup teas that does not have salt as the first ingredient but still packs a salty punch at 16% of the recommended daily maximum of sodium.  That being said, soup mixes tend to be sodium heavy.  It is lower in calories than most tomato soups though at only 10 calories.

My issue with DAVIDsTEA Tomato Turmeric is that the ingredients settle quickly.  You can see the difference in the two images above.  The first while the soup is still swirling from a good stirring.  The second soon after.  So you get a murky salty mess at the bottom of the cup.  I am not a huge fan of the heartier versions of any of these, but I strained it through an infuser and enjoyed it as a broth style soup tea.
