Sally Hansen Miracle Gel 184 Frill Seeker - Bottle and Brush

I will admit, the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel collection was not high on my list to try.  At around $10 each, I can buy zoyas or even indies so while they have been around for ages, I have only tried a couple of the shades.  That is, until I won a set of five plus the matching top coat from Intense Polish Therapy’s anniversary giveaway.  Today I am sharing a nice nude, Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Frill Seeker with more shades to follow over the next week!

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Frill Seeker Review

I was actually quite surprised by the formula of Frill Seeker and the other shades I tried.  It required two coats for full opacity and has a nice wide short brush.  Personally, I love chubby brushes but I know they are not for everyone.  The top coat has a plumping formula and using it, this colour lasted four days on my nails which is unheard of for drug store brands as I am harsh on my nails.  The nude shade is decent, not too yellow or pink so would suit most skintones and will definitely get some use as “skin” in nail art even if I don’t wear the shade itself very often.

Plain nude nails and me do not exactly go hand in hand.  But after getting glared at during a meeting for bright pink and purple nails, I kept it simple.  Shon here in shade and sun stamped with Mundo de Unas Bone, a cream colour using Born Pretty Store’s BP-115 round plate.

  • Coats required: 2x Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Frill Seeker & 1 x Sally Hansen Miracle Gel top coat
  • Dry time: decent, I washed dishes an hour after stamping with no dents or lifting from the tips
  • Wear time: excellent, especially for drug store polish
  • Issues: none, but I would not expect staining etc from a nude shade anyway
  • Buy It: Available at most drug stores and Walmart.  Priced at $8-10 depending on store and sales.
