CND Creative Play Express Ur Em-oceans Swatches & Review

CND Creative Play Express Ur Em-oceans from Sunset Bash Collection - Swatch Artificial Light 2

CND Creative Play Express Ur Em-oceans from Sunset Bash Collection - Bottle Shot

The final of the polishes from the Sunset Bash summer 2017 release is CND Creative Play Express Ur Em-oceans.  The only glitter polish of the collection, this has green, blue and gold toned glitter in a blue-green base that screams to be used for a mermaid look.  And I will probably have one for you soon!

CND Creative Play Express Ur Em-oceans from Sunset Bash Collection - Open Bottle and Brush

As with all Creative Play polishes, Skymazing comes in a 13.6ml round bottle with a medium sized brush.  The Creative Play advanced brush designed with nearly 400 bristle ends to allow for precision and smooth application. I like that it gives precision while not being as small as Essie’s brushes.  The jelly is fairly tinted but you still need three coats for full opacity with some visible nail line so Express Ur Em-oceans would probably benefit from a base colour undie, maybe Teal The Wee Hours from the same collection.

Shown with a mix of artificial lighting with natural light indoors, CND Creative Play is a deep underwater green-blue packed with glitter.

In shade, it takes on a much brighter colour.  It is a jewel toned blue and the glitter lacks the sun needed to shimmer.  Would still be great as a base for a manicure but lighting makes this one shine.

CND Creative Play Express Ur Em-oceans from Sunset Bash Collection - Swatch Sunlight

In bright sunlight, the deeper tone shows again with sparkling glitter.  Visible nail line is noticeable in the brightest of lights with three coats.  If that bothers you, you may want to use a base colour.  But to the naked eye, barely noticeable.

Since it has a jelly formula and chunky glitter, I did not try stamping with Express Ur Em-oceans. It did have some texture even with the CND Creative Play top coat and took some scrubbing to remove.
